FAQ – Travel Trade

This section applies to Travel Trade tours such as Step-On Guided tours, tour planning for a travel professional, school tours, or meeting or convention arrangements. This section does not apply to Traveler arrangements such as a Scheduled Tour, Private Tour, Shore Excursion, or Multi-Day Tours for groups with less than 10 people.

When should I book our group?

Due to the high demand for guides between May and October, we suggest booking right away.  The highest demand for guides is in September and October when cruise ship season is in full swing in Atlantic Canada.  If you require guides who speak another language, please inquire with us and we will look into their availability along with the cost.

What languages can your guided tours be provided in?

If you require guides who speak another language, please inquire with us and we will look into their availability along with the cost. We can provide tours in English and French and all other languages are dependent on availability.

Can you include meals and attractions on the tour?

We would be happy to make the arrangements for your meals and attractions when you are visiting Atlantic Canada.   If you are looking for specialty dining options or attractions, feel free to contact us to discuss your options.

Can you assist me with accommodations?

We would be happy to assist you in finding the right accommodations for your guests in Atlantic Canada.  We work closely with suppliers throughout Atlantic Canada.  To discuss your accommodation options, feel free to contact us.

Can you help me plan out my entire tour to Atlantic Canada?

We would love to have the opportunity to plan out your company’s tour to Atlantic Canada.  We can provide motorcoach transportation, accommodations, meals, attractions, Step-On Guides and local Tour Directors.  For more information about our Tour Planning services click here.

What other fees should we be aware of?

We have a Repositioning Fee for groups that start and end the tour in different locations.  For example: if your tour begins in Borden-Carleton, PE and ends in Charlottetown, PE a repositioning fee will apply.

There will also be a surcharge for tours starting one hour or longer outside the province’s capital city. For example:  If your tour starts in Wolfville, NS and ends in Wolfville, NS the surcharge will apply. If you are not sure if this surcharge will apply to you please feel free to contact us to discuss.

Can we request a certain guide?

We encourage you to request a certain guide.  While it may not always be possible to assign your requested guide to your tour, we will do everything in our power to ensure they are able to join you.

Are your prices in CAD or USD?

All prices listed on our website are issued and due payable in the Canadian Dollar.  Prices are subject to a 15% Harmonized Sales Tax in all four Atlantic Provinces.

What are our payment options?

We accept money order (in CAD), e-transfer (Canada only), Visa or Mastercard.  We do not accept American Express.  Business Cheques (no personal cheques) can be made out to Target Tours Atlantic for tours planned in advance of 30 days and must be in Canadian dollars.  If you plan to send an e-transfer you must contact us first so that we can provide you with the question and answer we require to accept the transfer.

What is your cancellation policy?

 Step-On Guided Tours

Tours are 100% non-refundable after final payment. Cancellations on attractions fees are refundable up to 31 days prior to arrival.   After 30 days of arrival, attraction fees are non-refundable.

School Tours/Meetings and Conventions/Tour Planning

Our terms for these tours depend on how many components are included in our services. Cancellation terms will be sent along with our final quote before confirmation and signature.
