This short 4 hour private tour is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with Halifax, Nova Scotia. Your Driver-Guide will pick you up and provide facts and tales about the capital of Nova Scotia while taking you to the not-to-be-missed sights, some of which buses cannot even visit! This tour includes a visit and admissions to the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. Apart from great views of the city and harbor, we may be able to organize the tour so you can be on site for the noon cannon at the Citadel if you would like!

Tour duration: 4 Hours
Your tour begins with pick up at your location of choice in the Halifax city region (including the Port of Halifax for cruise passengers). We then proceed to visit some of the most storied and interesting locations this beautiful maritime city has to offer. Depending on your interests this can include the sites of the Halifax Explosion, the Titanic graveyard (Fairview Lawn Cemetery), the Public Gardens, Alexander Keith’s Brewery, Province House, City Hall, the oldest warehouses in Canada, the waterfront and more.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a lunch stop during this tour?
There is no scheduled lunch stop during your tour; however, we do provide a muffin as a snack during the tour. There are some stops during the tour where a light snack can be purchased. If you would like to arrange for a sit down lunch we suggest adding an additional hour. You can do so at booking by choosing to add it during the online booking process or contacting us to book. Our office staff can provide suggestions and sample menus in advance of your tour as well as reservations to arrange this.
Are there costs for admissions at certain locations?
This tour does not require any additional admission fees to be paid.
While our private touring vans seat 6, it can become very snug should all participants be adults. Please consider this prior to making your booking to ensure the most comfortable and enjoyable tour possible. For adults, we often suggest no more than 5 passengers, with 4 being the ideal group size.
Terms and Conditions
- We require 7 days cancellation notice prior to your tour departing. You will be refunded the full amount less a 10% administration cost if canceled prior to 7 days before departure. Cancellation less than 7 days, including “no shows” will not be refundable.
- Exceptions are provided for cruise ship passengers when their cruise ship cancels its visit to the Port of Halifax. In this circumstance, they will receive a full refund.

- Any hotel or B&B in the Halifax city region.
