"I love sharing the stories of our culture and history with visitors to our Island and happy to spoil our guests with world class scenery!"
Linda was raised in Prince Edward Island (PEI) and graduated in 1980 from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Arts - major in Modern Languages. She retired from the federal government after 33 years of management which saw her move to Halifax, Ottawa and back to PEI. In these years she taught project management at University and has tutored adults and children to share her love and knowledge of the English and French languages.
In her spare time, Linda loves to keep active biking and hiking (and snowshoeing and skiing in winter) on our various excellent trails on the Island. In the last few years she has trekked in the Himalayas to 16000 plus feet, and has hiked 200 kilometers (125 miles) on the Southwest Coast Path in Devon and Cornwall England. She continues to tutor French and English languages.
After “retiring” in 2013, Linda began another career in tourism, working with Parks Canada and various tour companies. She is fluently bilingual (English and French.) She believes it to be an honour to entertain visitors to the Island and sharing stories of life here.
