Emilie’s South Shore Tour!

Tour Coordinator Emilie here! I had the opportunity to go on the South Shore Magic and Confederation Bridge Private-Tour on April 13th with experienced Driver-Guide Jack DesRoches, and new Driver-Guides Mark Lanigan and Donalda Docherty. I was also able to talk my husband into coming along with us! Although the day was fairly wet and rainy it still made for a fun time exploring the Island. First we took a walk around the historic fishing village of Victoria by the Sea. Founded in 1819, this quaint village served as the third largest seaport...

Emilie’s North Shore Discovery Tour!

Hi everyone! Tour Coordinator Emilie here. I had the amazing opportunity on April 5th to experience my first Island’s Finest Tour. Although it was a bit chilly and most places are not open for the season quite yet, I was able to get a guided tour with experienced Driver-Guide Duncan Conrad, and new Driver-Guides Mark Lanigan and Donalda Docherty. We visited The Great Canadian Soap Company, located on Portage Rd in Oyster Bed. As soon as we walked towards the door we could smell the wonderful sent of their handmade soaps and bath bombs...

Getting to know us – Emilie Martell, Tour Coordinator

Tell us about yourself Hi there! My name is Emilie Martell and I was born and raised in Prince Edward Island. I now live in Stratford with my husband Matt. One of my first memories is traveling with my family. Every summer my parents would take us to Nova Scotia for a week, and we would see the sites. At 16 I had the opportunity to travel to North Carolina with my parents and little sister Sophie (seeing many States in-between) to stay with family friends. That year my parents took Sophie and I to Cuba for the first time. It was amazing! In...

Unique Charlottetown Hotels

Charlottetown is home to some awesome hotel accommodations.  While we have many classic hotel brands that you may be used to like Delta Hotels by Marriott, Holiday Inns, and Comfort Inn brands, we also have many properties that have been family owned and operated for many years. We are very thankful to work with most of these family owned properties and even provide their staff with product training on our tours. Rodd Hotels and Resorts First up is a brand well known in the Maritimes of Canada.  The Rodd Brand was founded by Wally Rodd and...

Hi there, Tour Coordinator Katie here! There are so many reasons to fall in love with Prince Edward Island (PEI).  I have been lucky enough to live on PEI for almost my entire life and I really couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.  I live in St. Peter’s Bay which is a rural community 45 minutes east of our capital city, Charlottetown.  Most days I experience the most breath-taking sunsets, scenic drives, and coastal views that anyone could ask for.  This leads me in to our “Top Ten Reasons to visit Prince Edward Island in 2019”. 1.The...

Getting to know us – Peter Holland, Driver- Guide

You may have read their bios but we feel like it’s about time you REALLY got to know our Driver-Guides. Sixth in our series is Driver – Guide: Peter Holland   What is your favorite stop when you tour guests around PEI? Why? My favorite place is the lighthouse in Covehead but you have to go past it and right down to the water. The views are spectacular and the lighthouse makes a perfect back drop for a picture. How do you make your tours special? Engage your guests. Make them feel completely comfortable and safe. Ask questions so...
